Dan Jeffries is a composer who combines his background in experimental music and electronic sound design to create bold, contemporary and thought-provoking music.

He recently scored the landmark Disney+ drama Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes for which he won the RTS Award for Best Music Original Score. Other scores are the James Wan Netflix horror series True Haunting and forthcoming Netflix feature Wimbledon Common. Other recent credits include scoring documentaries The Body Next Door (Sky) and The Other Mrs Jordan (ITV). He has also written additional music for dramas Black Mirror (Netflix), Silent Witness (BBC) and DCI Banks (ITV).

After growing up in the desolate fens of east anglia, playing in bands and wanting to record all the others, Dan studied composition with groundbreaking electronic pioneer Trevor Wishart. This lead to a decade of writing music for theatre, dance and ensembles across London, Europe and New York, being nominated for several Off West End awards for his extensive work in theatre.

Dan is now rapidly making his mark in Film & Television, through his ability to combine a knowledge of experimental techniques with a deep understanding of narrative and storytelling. He is driven to find new ways of scoring film and his experimental background means he isn't reliant on sounding like pre-existing scores.
